TSC, Inc. offers customers multiple lines capable of heat treating pipe with an outside diameter of 1.315” to 10.000”. TSC, Inc. only utilizes gas furnace lines due to their efficiency, uniformity and reliability. These are extremely important factors in achieving consistent mechanical properties throughout the run.

Heat treating is a means of achieving desired mechanical properties through the controlled heating and cooling of pipe. For certain applications the pipe may require a definite set of characteristics in order to perform optimally in a specific environment. The heat treating process is capable of increasing hardness, increasing yield and tensile, increasing strength, increasing ductility, increasing fatigue strength, and boosting corrosion resistance. TSC, Inc. provides the following heat treating techniques: Quenching & Tempering, Normalizing, Annealing, Stress Relieving and Re-tempering (for changing existing grades).
